EACH people want to have a long life, youth, and live a quality life with a healthy body. Unfortunately, sometimes unpopular habits that harm the quality of life instead.
Four bad habits, including smoking, drinking too much alcohol, inactivity, and poor diet make your appearance look 12 years older than actual age. These new findings obtained from a study that tracked nearly 5,000 adults (aged 18 years and over) the United Kingdom for 20 years.
The participants were asked about various lifestyle even though they are only done occasionally, but these habits tend to be more stable in their adult years later.
Overall, 314 study participants to apply the four unhealthy behaviors. Among them, a total of 91 people (29 percent) died during the study. And among the 387 people who do not practice bad habits that none of the four, only 32 people (8 percent) died.
Data obtained by reviewing death certificates of their deaths 20 years later. The most common cause of death, namely heart disease and cancer, both are associated with unhealthy lifestyles.
Risky behaviors, including cigarette smoke inhalation, drinking more than three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two alcoholic drinks per day for women, physical activity less than two hours per week, and eat fruits and vegetables less than three times daily.
These habits and the combination of which substantially increases the risk of death and make the perpetrators look 12 years older than those in healthy living perpetrator groups, said Elisabeth Kvaavik researchers from the University of Oslo, concluded that studies have been published in Monday 'Archives of Internal Medicine this.
June Stevens, public health researchers from the University of North Carolina, said the results are consistent with previous studies that tested the combined effects of health-related habits at an advanced age.
